Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to identify mechanisms for stimulating further market development for the emerging "urbanwood" utilization industry. A major theme in this presentation was the cost of milling urbanwood logs based upon three distinct mill configuations. This information was summarized from the UFEI publication by Plumb, et al. study entitled "California Urban Woody Green Waste Utilization." Also discussed are some of the challenges in urbanwood production and business management.
